The sport is already growing in popularity, especially with the increasing coverage and presence of top riders like Marc Márquez and Valentino Rossi. However, American motorsport culture is still heavily dominated by NASCAR and IndyCar, so MotoGP needs to establish a deeper connection with fans through more local races and effective marketing. American motorcycle racing just isn't the same as back in the AMA days, when factories had teams racing here, back in the days when Nicky Hayden raced in the AMA SuperSport and Superbike classes.
