Are US Players Ready for Global Leagues?

A few US players have made appearances in global leagues, but how competitive are they compared to international stars? What does the US need to do to produce world-class players consistently?

In basketball I have no doubt that they are always prepared but in cricket I still don't believe it, I feel that they lack better players, at some point the United States should take off but at the moment I don't see that it will work
