The DH (Designated Hitter) rule sparks plenty of debate, and as a fan, I see both sides. On one hand, I love the added offensive firepower it brings—David Ortiz’s legendary career with the Boston Red Sox wouldn’t have been the same without it. The DH allows aging sluggers or pitchers to extend their careers and adds more excitement to games.

The adoption of the designated hitter (DH) rule in the National League definitely marks a major shift in baseball's strategy and dynamics.
