From the Miracle Mets of 1969 to the Giants’ 2014 Wild Card run, baseball has no shortage of underdog stories. Which team or moment do you think represents the ultimate baseball Cinderella story?

As a fan, I’m inspired by players like David Eckstein, who was overlooked for his size but became a key part of the St. Louis Cardinals’ 2006 World Series championship. Similarly, Roy Hobbs from The Natural is a fictional example that symbolizes how the game has long celebrated the rise of unlikely heroes.

There are so many great Cinderella stories in baseball, but one that stands out as the ultimate underdog moment is the 2004 Boston Red Sox comeback against the Yankees in the ALCS. Down 3-0 in the series, the Red Sox mounted one of the most improbable comebacks in sports history, winning four straight games to advance to the World Series.
