Field Hockey in the US: An Underrated Gem

Post by Roman »

While ice hockey often takes center stage, field hockey has a dedicated following in the US, especially at the high school and collegiate levels. Programs on the East Coast, particularly in states like Pennsylvania and Maryland, have produced some world-class talent. Why do you think field hockey doesn’t receive as much attention as other sports? Could more media coverage or investment help boost its profile in the US?

Field hockey often gets overshadowed by bigger sports, but its strong presence in high schools and colleges shows its potential. More media coverage, partnerships with major leagues, and investment in professional leagues could help elevate its profile and attract a wider audience in the US.
