Women’s Hockey in the US: Gaining Momentum
The US women’s hockey team has been a dominant force internationally, winning Olympic gold in 2018 and multiple World Championships. Players like Hilary Knight and Kendall Coyne Schofield have inspired a new generation of girls to take up the sport. However, the lack of a fully sustainable professional league for women’s hockey remains a challenge. What do you think can be done to promote women’s hockey in the US?
Re: Women’s Hockey in the US: Gaining Momentum
I have been so inspired by the momentum women’s hockey in the US has gained recently. The success of Team USA in international competitions, like their Olympic gold in 2018, has brought well-deserved attention to the sport. Players like Hilary Knight and Kendall Coyne Schofield are incredible role models. With the rise of professional leagues like the PWHL, I feel like women’s hockey is finally getting the platform it deserves.

Partnering with the NHL can provide valuable resources, exposure, and support for women's hockey. Joint events, cross-promotion, and mentorship from NHL players and coaches can boost the profile of the women's game.
Re: Women’s Hockey in the US: Gaining Momentum
The rise of women’s hockey, especially with pioneers like Knight and Coyne Schofield, is inspiring. The PWHL offers a vital platform for the next generation, and I believe it’ll continue elevating the sport, drawing even more fans and opportunities.
