The Rise of US Women in Marathons: Inspiring a Generation

Post by Roman »

From Joan Benoit Samuelson’s gold at the inaugural Olympic women’s marathon to recent stars like Molly Seidel (bronze in Tokyo 2020), US women have made a significant impact in marathons. What makes US female marathoners so successful on the global stage? Do you think this momentum will continue in upcoming Olympics and World Majors?

Yes there's a high rise in female marathon in the US. I love Marathoner Emily Sisson and she is doing well as American record holder. I know she is exceeding as she is still learning about the ins and outs of th race. The women are still upcoming and would do better in the future for upcoming Olympics and World majors

U.S. women in marathons, like Keira D’Amato and Des Linden, are breaking barriers and inspiring the next generation. D’Amato’s American record and Linden’s 2018 Boston Marathon win highlight the growing strength of U.S. female marathoners. Their success is changing perceptions, motivating young athletes, and proving that women’s marathon excellence is here to stay.
