I think teams like the Tampa Bay Rays and Oakland Athletics are often underrated. Despite smaller budgets, they consistently develop talent and compete with powerhouse teams. The Rays’ 2020 World Series run was proof of their potential.

As baseball fans, we often overlook underrated teams like the 2001 Seattle Mariners, who won 116 games but are remembered more for their postseason heartbreak. Similarly, the 2015 Pittsburgh Pirates won 98 games but fell short in the wild-card game. These teams remind us that greatness isn’t always about championships but about consistency and resilience.
